The Daystar Thrift Shoppe was founded in 1982 as an outreach ministry of St. Mary Our Lady of Grace Church.  Its mission is to provide good used clothing and household items at affordable prices to area residents, and at no cost to clients who have been given vouchers at the Daystar Life Center.  The revenue generated by the Thrift Shoppe is used to support the Center in its mission to help our neighbors in need.

Customers love the friendly staff, the good selection of quality items at very reasonable prices, the easy-to-shop store layout, and the boutique atmosphere.  We now offer furniture for sale in the adjacent storefront.

From time to time, we receive donations from furniture, antique, and designer consignment stores.  Our inventory is constantly changing. Visit our unique little shop often!

We accept donations of new or used items in good condition,  We need men’s and ladies’ clothing, shoes, jewelry, furniture, bric-a-brac, collectibles, household items, cookware, table linens, sheets, towels, small electronics, sporting goods, and office supplies.  Bring in  holiday items year-round.  Early in December, we offer a huge selection of decorations and artificial trees for sale.

Drop your donations off at the store during regular business hours.  Or call to schedule a pick-up of large or heavy items.

Moving?  New Year’s resolution is to clean out the boxes in your garage?  Clothes in the back of your closet getting too small for you?  The Daystar Thrift Shoppe welcomes donations of your unwanted items.

Due to space limitations, we do not stock children’s or maternity clothing.

Volunteers at the Daystar Thrift Shoppe accept, sort, and price donations; assist and check-out shoppers; maintain the appearance of the store; accompany the van driver on pickups and deliveries; and research the price of unusual items to be sold in the store or on eBay.  Call the store to become a volunteer.

What Our Volunteers Say About the Thrift Shoppe . . .

“I absolutely love it.  I especially like it when people come in with vouchers.  If I can be that one person who treats them with respect, it makes me very happy.”
